The law firm “Spilios Spiliopoulos and Partners” undertakes as legal advisor the overall legal coverage and support of the company “YDRANTHOS” (with the American Investment Group “Aurarius Investment Group” as main shareholder), which is making a significant investment in the construction and operation of the largest hydroponic cultivation and energy production unit in Greece, in the area of Volos.
The first project of YDRANTHOS (YDRANTHOS I) in the area of Almyros Volos, includes the construction of closed glass hydroponic production facilities, with an area of 148,500 square meters, with parallel energy production of 9.6 mw3, estimated construction costs of 65,000,000€, employment of 140 employees in the closed production facilities and an additional 25 full-time employees and executives in the administrative services of the company. The production capacity of YDRANTHOS I amounts to 10,000 metric tons of tomatoes (with the possibility of producing other products as well) and a parallel production of 67,000 MWh of electricity per year, which will be sold to the national grid.
The company’s initial investment plan includes the construction of four additional similar hydroponic – energy plants in the Greek territory.
The main shareholder of YDRANTHOS is the American Aurarius Investment Group Inc., founded in 2010 with headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, which has implemented or participated with its executives in major investment projects in various countries around the world and recently has been planning and implementing investments and participating in investment projects in Southern Europe, including Greece.
