The Law 4583/2018 – among other things – aims to harmonize the Greek insurance legislation with the provisions of Directive 2016/97 on the distribution of insurance products, as amended by Directive 2018/411/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2018, as well as the replacement and completion of relevant provisions of the legislation on insurance mediation in order to draw up a single codified text that will regulate the service of distribution of (re)insurance products and its exercise in the Greek insurance market.
