28.9.2019 – Spilios Spiliopoulos and Partners Law Firm, acting on behalf of Sfakianakis Group S.A., is drafting and amending the terms of the Official Volvo Distributor and Authorised Repairer Network Agreement, in order to harmonize the Agreement with the current Community framework for “business partners”.
The current Community framework for ‘business partners’ provides for: (a) an obligation for the company and its executives to comply with the principles of respect for human rights, in particular with regard to forced labour, children’s rights and physically abusive disciplinary practices; (b) an obligation to comply with the rules on competition and in particular to refrain from entering into any understanding or agreement that would lead to a restriction of competition; (c) the obligation to comply with applicable laws and European anti-bribery/corruption and anti-money laundering laws and regulations; and d) the obligation to comply with applicable laws and regulations on export controls and trade sanctions.
