29.04.2015 – The law firm “Spilios Spiliopoulos & Associates” is acting on behalf of Piraeus Bank in the preparation, drafting, and conclusion of an agreement for the creation of a pledge of receivables and is carrying out the necessary publication procedures.
According to the provisions of Articles 1247, 1248, 1254 of the Civil Code, the creation of a pledge is effected by agreement between the pledgor and the pledgee, which is drawn up in a notarial deed or in a private document of certain date and is notified to the debtor by the pledgee. The pledge grants the lender the right either to collect the pledged claim or to demand that it be assigned to him in lieu of payment.
