Claiming monetary claims from endorsed crossed bank checks

May 20, 2016 – The law firm “Spilios Spiliopoulos and Associates” is pursuing legal action to claim monetary claims based on post-dated crossed bank checks.
According to Law 5960/1933 “On Checks,” the established position of case law is that endorsement or late endorsement is equivalent to assignment under common law, without the new bearer being required to notify the debtor of the transfer and endorsement in order to be legitimized, and without preventing the effective issuance of a payment order against the person liable under the title.
