11.7.2019 – Spilios Spiliopoulos and Partners Law Office is carrying out the necessary procedures for the change of the name of SFAKIANAKIS INSURANCE BROKERS ANONYMOUS INSURANCE BROKERS COMPANY to SFAKIANAKIS INSURANCE BROKERS INSURANCE BROKERS S.A. the amendment of the respective terms of the Articles of Association and the change of the level of insurance intermediary, in which it operates, i.e. the change of its purpose from insurance broker to insurance agent and insurance agent coordinator, based on the provisions of the Greek and Community legislation regarding the work, rights and obligations of insurance intermediaries.
According to Greek and Community legislation, an insurance agent signs a contract of cooperation with insurance companies, in return for a commission, and has the right to present, propose, propose, endorse or conclude, himself or through other intermediaries, insurance contracts on behalf of one or more insurance companies.
The exclusive task of the insurance intermediary shall be, on behalf of the insured person, without being bound by the choice of insurance company, to undertake all the preparatory work necessary for the conclusion of insurance and/or reinsurance contracts, to obtain the acceptance of the (re)insurance company and the approval of the (re)insured person and to assist in their management and execution, in particular in the event of the occurrence of an insurance risk.
