Spilios Spiliopoulos & Partners Law Firm successfully represented a client in a fatal road accident case with a claim of €719,000, resulting in the dismissal of the opposing parties’ claim.
The victim’s family filed a lawsuit against the client, before the Athens Court of First Instance, requesting the Court to award the client the sum of 719.000,00 euros, due to mental anguish, claiming that the fatal car accident was entirely due to the sole fault – responsibility of the latter.
The Court of Appeal, hearing the case in the second instance, dismissed the claim for compensation brought by the family of the deceased as essentially unfounded, and indeed entirely, as it held that the totality of the evidence did not sufficiently establish the legally required fault – responsibility of the client for the occurrence of the death.
